“Star Wars” land is not so far, far away now.
Disney Parks announced in its blog that the new, 14-acre Disneyland and Walt Disney World sites will open in 2019. The exhibits have been under construction since forever — 2015. Neither a date, nor month was mentioned, which makes budgeting the trip for families difficult.
Still, it looks like this is a trip families should plan on taking the kids to in this lifetime. Here’s why:
- The setting is a remote planet within the “Star Wars” universe. Guests roam a trading post filled with exotic characters, reports azcentral.com Disneyland expert, Scott Craven.
- Visitors can pilot Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon on a mission that the blog characterizes as an “epic ‘Star Wars’ adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle.”
- “Star Wars” lands will include attractions and entertainment along side aliens and droids from the iconic franchise.
- The attraction is the largest-ever single-themed land expansions at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. That must count for something right?
